After installing Ubuntu recently, I found that the trackpad sensing two fingers, and using two fingers at once to scroll was very useful and convenient, and I found myself attempting to do this all the time on my laptop with Windows, it just doesn't work. So I set out to find drivers that did. (Obviously this doesn't apply to you if you don't have a laptop with a touchpad)
The first and I would consider more useful link is here, its from google-code:
http://two-finger-scroll.googlecode....roll_1_0_6.zip
Run this portable .exe (add it to startup) and it will allow you to use two fingers at once to scroll through web pages etc.
The second is a modded Synaptics driver:

Going through its menu, you can configure a large amount of gestures, all 8 directions (up, down, left, right, up+right etc etc) can be configured to do separate functions (scrolling not being one of them, thats why you need to download the google code also). It also supports three finger gestures, although only up and down, (its hard to get three fingers moving left or right, not enough room!). Personally i set three down to the 3D Flip, which is very handy, and 3 up to maximize window.
Using these has made life without a mouse significantly better!!
I recommend adding the two finger scroll .exe to your startup folder, here is how:
Press Windows + R (run) paste in
C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\S tart Menu\Programs\Startup
and add the .exe, or a shortcut to it there.
